Hans Hemmert took some cool photos, viewable along with the work of three other artists which I have not quite discovered yet (that reminds me of Erwin Wurm), but which seem to do some interesting stuff too, on ingesidee.de. It's worth a look, as far as I'm concerned.

...that's the name of the guy who made these sheep out of rotary telephones for the Museum of Telecommunication in Frankfurt (dreadful website). Because I will spare you a visit to his own website (even worse) I advise you to use Google instead for more images.

Ich will ja jetzt gar nicht in so Baumarktberaterbashing einfallen, aber ich war gerade dort einkaufen...
Und fragte eine solche Bedienstete - sie war gerade sehr in ihr Handy vertieft - ob sie denn Holzleisten mit quadratischem Querschnitt hätten, sie meinte ja und zeigte mir ein Regal mit allerlei Sesselleisten, worauf ich entgegnete, ich bräuchte aber eigentlich so viereckige halt, aja, dann führte sie mich zu den Flachleisten wo nebenbei glücklicherweise auch quadratische waren, ich sagte gut und sie verschwand wieder sich in ihr Handy zu vertiefen, woraus ich sie jedoch, nachdem ich mir eine passende Leiste ausgesucht, noch einmal reißen musste.
Ich brauchte nämlich noch so Teile wo man Stellagen darauflegen kann, sagte ich ihr, worauf sie mich etwas verwirrt ansah, aber nichts weiter tat, so versuchte ich noch einmal zu erklären (unter Zuhilfenahme der Hände) das ich eben so Teile benötige, wo man so Stellagen darauflegen kann. It's been a long time since I postet here, so just some short thing for not staying inactive:
I saw this photo by Tomasz Wiech at the World Press Photo exhibition at Galerie Westlicht, it made the 3rd prize in Daily Life: singles. What catched my eye was the easiness and calmness that lies in it, surrounded by all those photos of war and catastrophes, of violence and injustice there's this employee in this kitchen, blue in blue, preparing himself his breakfast; and he seems almost a little... happy.
Actually, the photo is no single, but part of a series of "pictures about fragments of private life in the huge corporations", titled Something Private by Tomasz Wiech, to whom obviously also belong the rights on it.
